Safety
Safe for kids, clear for parents
Age-appropriate topics and tutors only. A grown-up question is needed to leave Kids Mode.
Set a daily time limit, approve new topics, and turn the buddy chat on or off.
Every Sunday, parents get an email with what their child learned and practised.
A safety filter checks what the tutor says to kids and teens and steers the chat back to the lesson.
We keep only the child's first name, age, the language they learn and their progress.
There are no ads, no chat with other users and no public profiles.

Is it safe for children?
Yes. Children's accounts are created and managed by a parent. Kids learn in Kids Mode with age-appropriate topics, and there are no ads, no chat with strangers and no public profiles.
Is Maia free?
Lessons, review and progress are always free. Maia Plus adds unlimited live practice, and Maia Family covers a parent and up to 4 children.
How does the tutor correct me?
When you make a mistake, your tutor repeats what you said, suggests the right way to say it, and explains why. One clear tip at a time.
Can parents see progress?
Yes. The parent dashboard shows lessons, new words and minutes for each child, and a report arrives by email every Sunday.
Do I need an internet connection?
Yes. Your tutor listens and answers in real time, so lessons need a connection.
