1. Add Zoom to Vega
- Sign in to Vega at vega.zumy.ai (or open the Vega desktop app). New to Vega? Get it here.
- Open Plugins in the sidebar and search for Zoom.
- Click Add, then Connect. Zoom opens and asks you to sign in and allow Vega.
- Review the permissions and click Allow. You return to Vega, which shows Zoom as connected.
2. Use it
Ask Vega in a new task. With Zoom connected, Vega can:
- List your past, upcoming and scheduled meetings, and show a meeting’s details and join link.
- Read the cloud recording transcript of a meeting you hosted, so you can ask what was decided or who said what.
- Read the Zoom AI Companion summary of a past meeting, when the host had meeting summaries turned on.
- List your cloud recordings and the files each one has.
- Schedule a Zoom meeting or create a Zoom Doc, only after you approve it.
Try:
- “What did we decide in yesterday’s design review?”
- “Summarise my meetings from this week.”
- “Schedule a 30-minute Zoom call with the team on Friday at 3pm.”
Before Vega changes anything in Zoom, it shows you exactly what it will do and waits for you to approve or decline.
3. What Vega can access
Vega asks Zoom for these permissions, and only uses them for tasks you start:
user:read:usermeeting:read:list_meetingsmeeting:read:meetingmeeting:read:past_meetingmeeting:read:summarycloud_recording:read:list_user_recordingscloud_recording:read:list_recording_filesmeeting:write:meetingdocs:write:file
How Vega handles the data it reads from connected services is in the Vega privacy policy.
4. Remove Zoom
- In Vega, open Plugins → Manage, find Zoom and click Remove. Vega stops using the connection and deletes its access token.
- To also revoke access on the Zoom side: In Zoom, sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace, open Manage → Added Apps, find Vega and click Remove.
After removal, Vega can no longer read or change anything in your Zoom account. To delete data Vega kept from your tasks, see the privacy policy or delete your account.
